Michael

If I understand you correctly, in our latest server_auth_trig functions this way, where a master authenticator (an account that can see the entire tree) searches for the user whose authentication check is needed.

You can find this trigger by downloading our 2008.4 AccuBridge for LDAP which can be found on this website.

http://www.accurev.com/download_ab_2008_4.htm

The actual trigger is located under \src\LDAPTriggers.

How could you modify this to use a binding user as a search proxy? I've tried several different variations to no avail. I either get no authentication or authentication for any username/password -- valid or invalid.

Thanks,
Michael

Chris,

The solution I outline here is strictly for user authentication. For group and user management (that is, creating, removing and configuring) you'll want to investigate AccuBridge for LDAP. It is a user and group provisioning bridge that enables you to use activity in an LDAP server to manage AccuRev users and groups. See http://www.accurev.com/accubridge-ldap.htm for more details.

Thanks,
Matt

So what about groups? Do you create groups in AccuRev or in LDAP or both?

Thanks!
