SQE "Agile Comes to You" Tour Update

Over the past few months, SQE’s “Agile Comes to You” tour, featuring AccuRev, Rally, AnthillPro and Coverity has been touring Agile hotspots across the country.  The most recent seminar was held on February 24th in Atlanta, with other stops along the way including San Francisco and Boston.

Seminar attendees are presented with talented keynote speakers, impressive product demos and a Q & A panel of Agile tool experts.  The photo below was taken during our Boston “Agile Comes to You” seminar.

During these half- day seminars, attendees get to witness live demos of software development best practices and tools, all necessary to make Agile successful within development teams.  They also learn core fundamentals of Agile engineering practices and are able to see how AgileCycle, an integrated best-of-breed tools suite, enables quality, collaboration and visibility for development teams, managers and executives.

Agile Journal Seminar Series: Next Stop Los Angeles

AccuRev joins with Coverity, Electric Cloud, Rally Software and BigVisible in bringing the Agile Journal Seminar Series to Los Angeles on December 17, 2009. The seminar focuses on promoting Agile tools and techniques in order to optimize the software development process.

Agile Journal Seminar Comes to Austin

AccuRev joins with Coverity, Electric Cloud, Smart Bear and VersionOne in bringing the Agile Journal Seminar Series to Austin, TX on December 8, 2009. This seminar aims at bringing together many of the industry’s Agile software development thought leaders and promoting Agile tools and techniques in order to improve the effectiveness of development projects and teams.

Damon Poole to Speak at Nashua Scrum Club Meeting

AccuRev CTO, Damon Poole, is the featured speaker for Nashua Scrum Club’s November meeting on the topic “Scrum and Kanban: Chocolate and Peanut Butter?” The Scrum Club is a professional organization where people can learn and apply Agile project management and advanced technical practices while giving back to the community. By now you’ve probably heard of Kanban, the newest Agile methodology on the block. Much as Scrum and XP play well together, so do Scrum and Kanban.  In fact, all three work well together.

This session will introduce Kanban from a Scrum perspective, show how the Lean practice of “One Piece Flow” is the key to both, and look at how to mix and match Scrum and Kanban to fine tune a process that fits your circumstances. This will include: decoupling once-per iteration activities from the iteration, work-in-progress limits, and the concept of “pull.”
